CPN Chairman Prachanda Claims Nation Moving Towards Elections Based on Party's Demands

Kathmandu, February 8: Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has stated that the entire nation is heading towards elections as per the demands put forth by his party.

Speaking at a 'Party Induction' program organized by CPN Kathmandu Constituency No. 5 here today, he mentioned that the CPN was formed in line with the spirit and sentiment of the Janatantrik Yuva Sangha (JYS) movement.

"We have built the Communist Party of Nepal to accommodate all communist forces within Nepal. Currently, 26 small and large parties have joined this party, along with thousands of cadres," he said.

Former Prime Minister Dahal stated that the CPN had advocated for elections from the beginning, and now the entire country is geared towards them. He claimed that the CPN is growing stronger day by day and has become a center of public trust.

Former Prime Minister Dahal warned that there is an attempt to attack democracy in the name of populism on social media. He asserted that a wave of public support for the CPN is sweeping across the country. Dahal added that the public's hope and trust are increasing in favor of the policies put forward by the CPN.

Kalpana Sharma, the House of Representatives candidate from CPN Kathmandu Constituency No. 5, stated that the country is moving in a different direction following the JYS movement. She emphasized that the victory of the CPN is necessary to advance the JYS movement institutionally.

Himal Sharma, the House of Representatives candidate from CPN Kathmandu Constituency No. 6, urged for the victory of the CPN in the upcoming elections, noting that the CPN is moving forward with a new election symbol in line with the spirit and sentiment of the JYS movement. During the program, senior sportsperson Renuka Shrestha and dozens of other individuals joined the CPN after leaving the UML.
