Partial Western Winds Bring Weather Changes Across Nepal

Kathmandu. The weather in Nepal is currently experiencing changes due to the partial influence of the western winds.

According to the Department of Meteorology, some areas in the Terai region are experiencing fog and mist, while clouds have started appearing in the hilly regions. Although there is partial cloud cover in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, the weather in other places remains generally clear.

Some changes in the weather across the country are expected on Monday. Generally cloudy conditions are forecast for the Sudurpashchim Province and other hilly and mountainous regions of the country. Fog and mist are expected to persist in the morning across most parts of the Terai region. This could have a minor impact on daily life and transportation.

The Department has indicated a possibility of light rain and snowfall in one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces. Although the weather in other parts of the country will remain mainly clear, meteorologists have advised taking necessary precautions to stay warm.
