Two Arrested in Connection with Murder of Couple in Okhaldhunga

Kathmandu. Police have arrested two individuals who were on the run after murdering a Rai couple in Chhishankhugadhi, Okhaldhunga. On Magh 13, Chandra Bikram Rai and Chandramaya Rai were found dead at Bohore in Chhishankhugadhi Rural Municipality-6, Okhaldhunga.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested 34-year-old Dhan Bahadur Ranamagar and a 17-year-old boy, both residents of Bhadaure, on suspicion of involvement in the murder. The CIB stated that they were apprehended from Dalu in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15 on Friday.

The bureau mobilized its personnel from Magh 20 to investigate the incident where the couple's bodies were found murdered inside a room and covered with a quilt. Police investigation revealed that Dhan Bahadur Rana had taken the 17-year-old boy from Kathmandu to Okhaldhunga with a plan to commit robbery.

The accused were found in possession of stolen gold bangles, necklaces, 159 Richard cards, and a 'C'-mala after the murder. Police also recovered the mobile phone used by the deceased Chandra Bikram Rai from the possession of the accused.
