Veteran Politician Faces New Challengers in Gulmi-2 House of Representatives Election

Tansen. In the upcoming House of Representatives election in Gulmi Constituency No. 2, established candidates will face challenges from newcomers. The election is set to be interesting as Gokul Bista of the CPN (UML) will compete against new candidates from various political parties.

CPN (UML) leader Bista is seeking his fifth victory in Gulmi-2, while all his competitors are new faces. In this constituency, Bhuwan Prasad Shrestha from the Nepali Congress is known as a leader focused on politics of prestige.

Shree Ram Mahat is the candidate from the CPN (Maoist Centre), and Govinda Panthi is the candidate from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). Voters are reviewing the past activities of the established candidates for the comprehensive development of their constituency, while new candidates have also been continuously active in social reform and development, making it difficult to predict whom the voters will choose.
