Kamal Thapa Magar Elected Head of Nepal Magar Association Sindhupalchok Chapter

Sindhupalchok. The seventh district convention of the Nepal Magar Association Sindhupalchok has handed over the new leadership to Kamal Thapa Magar, a prominent leader of the Janji movement.

The grand convention held on Saturday at the Indigenous Nationalities Building in Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality-5 unanimously elected a nine-member new district coordination committee under the chairmanship of Kamal.

Although four aspirants presented their claims for the post of chairman during the closed session, Kamal Thapa Magar was elected chairman after a large portion of local representatives and the majority stood in his favor. The convention, which saw a large presence of representatives from local committees across the district, made organization strengthening and social unity of the Magar community its main agenda.

Intense discussions were held at the convention, especially on the subject of developing youth leadership and advancing the role of the new generation institutionally. After assuming the new responsibility, the newly elected Chairman Kamal Thapa Magar expressed his determination to dedicate his tenure to the identity and rights of the Magar community.

He also committed to making the organization stronger and more dynamic than before by keeping the active participation of the youth at the center.
