Health Post in Baglung's Galekot Ranked Best in Gandaki Province

Baglung. The Narethati Health Post in Galekot, Baglung, has been declared the best in Gandaki Province after achieving the highest score.

The health post achieved this distinction based on an evaluation of minimum health standards, securing 98 percent marks in the assessment, according to the Provincial Public Health Office, Baglung. The office stated that Narethati Health Post succeeded in obtaining this score based on various health indicators.

Last year as well, Narethati Health Post secured the first position in Gandaki Province by achieving 96 percent marks. Devprakash Ghimire, Tuberculosis and Leprosy Inspector at the Provincial Public Health Office, stated that in the evaluations completed so far this year, Narethati Health Post remains first in the province with 98 percent marks.

Ghimire informed that the health post became the best in the province due to the hard work and dedication of the health workers employed there. According to Ghimire, the evaluation is based on physical infrastructure such as the condition of the building, water and electricity, toilets, waiting room, service rooms, accessibility for the disabled, waste management, staff, training, and the status of service delivery.

Hemanta Bhandari, Ward Chairperson of Galekot-2, informed that Narethati excelled based on criteria including waste management human resources, staff according to approved quotas, attendance, trained manpower, division of responsibilities, OPD, maternal and child health services, vaccination, family planning, nutrition, tuberculosis/leprosy services, emergency primary care, availability of medicines and equipment, and the availability of necessary drugs.
