Committee Formed to Prepare for Mahashivaratri 2082 at Pashupati Area

Kathmandu. A 171-member main organizing committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Anil Kumar Sinha, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Pashupati Area Development Trust Governing Council, to prepare for Mahashivaratri 2082.

The committee formed for the preparation of this year's Mahashivaratri festival includes representatives from the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Ward No. 8 Office, and other concerned bodies. The Pashupati Area Development Trust announced that the committee will work on the preparations for the Mahashivaratri festival in the Pashupati area.

Subhash Chandra Joshi, Executive Director and Spokesperson of the Trust, informed RSS that preparations for Mahashivaratri in the Pashupati area are underway through nine thematic subcommittees under the main organizing committee. The meeting of the Security Subcommittee under the main organizing committee was held on Friday.

Officials from the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and National Investigation Department were also present at the meeting of the Security Subcommittee, which was chaired by Kathmandu Chief District Officer Ishwar Raj Poudel. He shared that discussions were held regarding security arrangements for the Mahashivaratri festival.
