Health Minister Assures No Shortage in Cancer Treatment, Launches HPV Vaccination Drive

Kathmandu. Minister for Health Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam has stated that the government will not allow any shortcomings in the treatment of cancer. Inaugurating a cycle rally organized by Annapurna Media Network in Kathmandu on Saturday to raise awareness against cancer, Minister Gautam assured that the government would make convenient arrangements for cancer treatment in all provinces and would not let any deficiency occur in the treatment.

She informed that although many needs are visible in the health sector, problems would be solved by prioritizing them. Minister Gautam urged people to take advantage of opportunities, mentioning that the 'HPV' vaccine against cervical cancer is going to be operational this year as well.

She emphasized the need for awareness to prevent the disease rather than treating it after it has occurred, alongside cancer prevention.
