Rapti Health Science Institute Provides Free Maternity Services

Dang. The maternity service of the institute has become more effective after the Mother Safety Program was operated free of charge at Dang's Rapti Health Science Institute. In one month of the current financial year, 149 women have received free maternity services from the institute.

The number of women receiving maternity services is from May 1 to May 31. Free maternity services are being provided at the hospital under the leadership of the institute's Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist Professor Dr. Basanta Lamichhane, with the participation of other Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist doctors.

After the Mother Safety Program was operated free of charge, women coming for free delivery at the institute are happy to receive the service. Dr. Suresh Rasaili, Acting Office Chief, Director, and Associate Professor of the institute, said that the number of patients is increasing day by day due to the free maternity service operated at the institute.

According to the information provided by the institute, 136 women have received safe delivery services through surgical services in one month after the maternity service became free at the institute.

Similarly, 5 MVA (Manual Vacuum Aspiration), 6 ectopic pregnancy surgeries, and 1 molar pregnancy surgery have been completed.

The institute has stated that it has been continuously providing maternity and gynecology-related services through a team of specialist doctors and health workers. The institute has stated that it has been providing effective treatment services even to patients with complex conditions.

In addition, in the month of May, 2,358 women received OPD services from maternity services and 52 were admitted for treatment.
