Election Commission Receives Responses from 24 Candidates After Seeking Clarification on Code Violations

Kathmandu. Twenty-four candidates among those who were asked for clarification by the Election Commission have submitted their responses.

During the regular press conference held by the Commission on Friday, it was informed that out of 34 individuals asked for clarification based on complaints regarding violation of the election code of conduct, 24 have submitted their explanations.  

'Out of the 34 political parties and candidates to whom the Commission sought clarification, we have received responses from 24,' informed Commission Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai at the press conference.  

The Commission also stated that the process of action is being advanced according to the provisions of the code of conduct and the Election Offenses and Punishment Act. The House of Representatives election is scheduled for the upcoming Falgun 21.
