Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa Arrives in Pokhara Ahead of Federal Elections

Gagan Kumar Thapa, President of the Nepali Congress, has arrived in Pokhara. Party leaders and cadres, including the leader of the Nepali Congress Gandaki Province Parliamentary Party and Chief Minister Surendraraj Pandey, Nepali Congress Gandaki Province President Shukraraj Sharma, and Congress Kaski President Kishordatta Baral, welcomed President Thapa at Pokhara International Airport.

This marks his first visit to Pokhara since being elected as the party's president at the special general convention of the Nepali Congress. Shiroamani Baral, Deputy Head of the Provincial Publicity Department, informed that President Thapa, arriving as the general election for the House of Representatives draws near, will meet with cadres at the Nepali Congress Kaski office, followed by a meeting of the Provincial Committee where he will be the chief guest.

He stated that party candidates from within the Gandaki Province and central committee members will participate in the meeting. He also mentioned that President Thapa is scheduled to deliver a special address and provide directives during the meeting. The arrival of top leaders from political parties in Pokhara, targeting the elections, has begun.
