Rastriya Swatantra Party Expresses Shock After Campaign Vehicle Kills 4-Year-Old Girl in Rautahat

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has expressed shock over the death of a 4-year-old girl in Rautahat due to a vehicle used during their election campaign.

RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti stated in a press release on Friday that the party was shocked and deeply saddened by the incident. The statement mentioned that the party is taking the incident seriously.

‘The party has taken this incident with utmost seriousness. We are committed to fully cooperating with the local administration for an objective investigation into the incident. The party will leave no stone unturned in ensuring legal process and justice for the victim's family. Furthermore, we inform that necessary initiatives are being taken from the party's side for possible relief and assistance to the victim's family,’ the statement read.

The RSP has also issued strict directives to the party ranks, candidates, and vehicle drivers to exercise high vigilance in the operation of vehicles used during the election campaign and to prioritize security sensitivity.

The incident occurred on Thursday during election canvassing in Ishnath Municipality-4, Mathiya Tole, Rautahat district, when a vehicle hit and killed approximately 4-year-old Alsa Khatun.
