CPN-UML Ward Secretary in Bhojpur Resigns from Party Post

Bhojpur. Tulsi Karki (Kushal), the Ward Committee Secretary of CPN-UML in Pauwadungma Rural Municipality, Bhojpur, has resigned from the party. He announced this on his social media, Facebook, on Thursday. Karki was the CPN-UML candidate for the Ward Chairperson position in Ward-3 of Pauwadungma Rural Municipality in the 2079 elections.

In the election, he was defeated by the then CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate, Tirth Bahadur Karki, by a margin of 2 votes. Karki entered local politics while leading the Child Network. Karki is also a former member of the CPN-UML District Committee, Bhojpur. His close associates stated that his resignation will cause a loss for the CPN-UML in the upcoming House of Representatives election in Bhojpur.

He stated that as a political individual, he will reach a conclusion about which party to join only after consulting with everyone. He said, 'Some friends are advocating for the Nepali Communist Party, while others are suggesting Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), so a conclusion has not been reached yet.'
