Child Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle Bearing Sticker of Rastriya Swatantra Party Candidate in Rautahat

Rautahat. A four-year-old girl died after being hit by a vehicle bearing the sticker of a Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate in Rautahat district. The Rautahat police reported that the 4-year-old girl died after being hit by the vehicle, which had an RSP candidate's sticker affixed, in Ishnath Municipality of the district.

Rautahat Police Spokesperson DSP Bishnupradip Basnyal stated that the girl, Alpha Khatun, daughter of Sagir Mohammad, a resident of the same municipality, died after being hit by vehicle number Ba 15 Cha 4244 belonging to RSP's candidate for Constituency No. 2, Sekh Sagir.

According to him, the vehicle hit the girl while she was playing on the road. She died during treatment. Police confirmed that the vehicle had a sticker of the RSP candidate, but the candidate was not traveling in the vehicle at the time.

District Police Office Rautahat Spokesperson Basnyal informed that the police have impounded the vehicle involved in the collision and are currently searching for the driver.
