Nepal Stock Exchange Index Rises Significantly on Final Trading Day of the Week

Kathmandu. On Thursday, the final trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index showed a significant surge. The NEPSE index increased by 27.19 points, closing at the level of 2708.70.

Today, the market turnover also reached a new high. Throughout the day, shares of 326 companies worth NPR 11.5828938 billion were traded, with a total of 3 crore 55 lakh 74 thousand 627 shares exchanged.

In today's market, the share prices of 201 companies increased, while the prices of 55 companies decreased. The price of 4 companies remained stable.

Today, five companies saw the highest gains in share prices. Kalinchowk Darshan Limited, Super Mai Hydropower, and Modi Energy saw their prices increase by exactly 10 percent. Furthermore, Ridi Power's price increased by 9.97 percent and Khanikhola Hydropower's price increased by 9.96 percent.

In terms of turnover, Union Hydropower Limited topped the list today. Shares worth NPR 587.7 million of this company were traded. Following this, Radhi Bidyut Company saw a turnover of NPR 575 million, SY Panel NPR 537.4 million, Aakhukhola Jalabidhyut NPR 405.5 million, and NRN Infrastructure NPR 386.8 million.

After today's trading, the total market capitalization reached NPR 45.4797 trillion, while the float market capitalization stood at NPR 15.4822 trillion.
