Home Minister Praises Nepal Telecom's Role in Connectivity and National Development

Kathmandu. Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal stated that Nepal Telecom's role in expanding communication access across the country and contributing to economic prosperity is commendable. Addressing the 22nd anniversary ceremony of Nepal Telecom, he emphasized that the role played by Nepal Telecom during times of crisis such as natural disasters, earthquakes, and pandemics has been extremely significant.

He mentioned that Nepal Telecom has made a remarkable contribution to digital services, digital literacy, and overall national development alongside service expansion. Home Minister Aryal stated that telecommunication service has become a major infrastructure for educational, economic, and social development, not just a means of contact.

"Providing quality service based on the latest technology is the need of the hour," he said, "It is the right and entitlement of the service recipient to provide quality service by balancing public responsibility and innovation while developing services based on new technologies."

He opined that satisfied customers are the cornerstone of the company's sustainable development, and the company must pay special attention to this aspect. Home Minister Aryal also expressed confidence that in the coming days, Nepal Telecom will focus on customer satisfaction while providing services based on state-of-the-art technology.

Mentioning that public institutions are a bridge connecting citizens and the government, he stated that Nepal Telecom's role will be crucial in strengthening the citizen-government relationship. He expressed confidence that Nepal Telecom will continue its cooperation with the government in fulfilling its duty towards the citizens by embracing the government's policies and programs.

Home Minister Aryal also committed that the government will play a parental role in strengthening and developing Nepal Telecom.
