Electoral Buzz Intensifies in Makwanpur as House of Representatives Election Nears

Makwanpur. As the date for the House of Representatives election approaches, electoral activities are gradually increasing in the urban and rural areas of Makwanpur.

The frequent arrival of leaders and candidates from various political parties, ranging from district to central levels, at the voters' homes has heightened the activity in Hetauda and the wards of Bagmati, Bakaiya, Makwanpurgadhi, Manahari, Raksirang, and Kailash Rural Municipalities.

Internal party meetings and gatherings are also underway in both constituencies of Makwanpur to formulate election strategies. According to Bhimsen Mahat, Secretary of the Nepali Congress Makwanpur, party representatives have been mobilized in all wards of the district.

Parties including the CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Centre), Rastriya Swatantra Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party have plunged into the election by forming local-level election mobilization and publicity committees.

In Constituency No. 1, there are 23 candidates, including Mahalakshmi Upadhyaya (Dina) from the Nepali Congress, Rameshwar Rana from CPN-UML, Bijay Gautam from CPN (Maoist Centre), Prakash Gautam from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Deepak Bahadur Singh from Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Tej Prasad Upreti from Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party, and Vidya Shrestha from Shram Sanskriti Party.  

Similarly, in Constituency No. 2, there are 21 candidates, including Mahesh Kumar Bartaula from CPN-UML, Buddha Lama from Nepali Congress, Labhshere Bista from CPN (Maoist Centre), Prashant Upreti from RSP, Ram Bahadur Thokar from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Santosh Bista from Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party, and Yunish Lama from Shram Sanskriti Party.
