Jumla Recommends Two Temporary Polling Stations for Upcoming House of Representatives Election

Jumla. The District Election Office, Jumla, has recommended to the central office of the Election Commission to establish two polling stations for temporary voters for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.

District Election Officer Dipendra Kandel informed that it has been recommended to establish temporary polling stations at the grounds of the Food Management and Trading Company Limited Branch Office, Jumla, located in the district headquarters Khalanga Bazaar, and at the district jail.

It has been recommended to establish a temporary polling station at the grounds of the Food Management and Trading Company for civil servants and personnel from the Nepal Army, Police, and Armed Police Force. It has been recommended to establish a temporary polling station at the jail office for inmates or prisoners held in the jail.

There is a legal provision that those included in the temporary voter list can only vote in the proportional representation election. The Commission has set Falgun 5 as the deadline for collecting the temporary voter list.

The District Election Office stated that 891 people have included their names in the temporary voter list so far.
