CPN-UML Leader Pokharel Claims Conspiracy Against Party

Kathmandu. CPN-UML leader and candidate for Kathmandu Constituency No. 5, Ishwar Pokharel, claimed that various conspiracies are being hatched to destroy the UML. Speaking at an interaction program with 15 candidates from the Kathmandu Valley organized by Press Chautari Nepal on Wednesday, leader Pokharel stated that conspiracies are being hatched against the UML both from within and outside the country. "To thwart external conspiracies, one must be strong internally. If we are weak internally, external conspiracies will prevail," Pokharel said, adding, "We want to become internally strong." Leader Pokharel stated that the party is preparing its manifesto by raising issues of national interest, national freedom, and sovereignty, and that the UML cannot agree to anything that destroys social harmony, which is the basis of national unity. Leader Pokharel also claimed that the UML is a party focused on its action plans rather than criticizing others. He mentioned that the demands raised by the Janajati were not unfair, but after the Janajati movement was hijacked, the situation was pushed towards conspiracy, and what happened afterward became clear. Pokharel stated that the movement should not be understood superficially, and the two-day movement should be understood in different ways. He also claimed that the UML would bring good results in the upcoming elections in the valley.
