Kathmandu Police Arrest Two Individuals in Separate Incidents Involving Stolen Scooters and Motorcycles

Kathmandu. Kathmandu Police have arrested two individuals along with stolen scooters and motorcycles. Police teams under the District Police Range, Kathmandu, apprehended them from separate locations on Monday.

A police team from the Budhanilkantha Police Post arrested a young man along with a stolen Vespa scooter around 3 AM on Monday during a routine check. Hemraj Bohara, 20, originally from Gaumul Rural Municipality-1, Bajura, and currently residing in the New Bus Park area, was arrested with the scooter bearing registration number Bagmati Pradesh 02-023 P 5880 at the Joint Bus Park in Budhanilkantha Municipality-13.

Similarly, another young man was arrested with a stolen motorcycle from the Mitranagar area late Monday night. A complaint had been filed regarding the disappearance of a motorcycle with registration number Ba 94 P 2329, which was parked on the roadside in Mitranagar, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26. Based on this report, a team from the New Bus Park Police Post conducted a search and arrested Surendra Khatri, 20, originally from Shivalaya Rural Municipality-6, Jajarkot, and residing in Mitranagar.

Police found the stolen motorcycle hidden in the parking area of the hotel where Khatri was staying, after he had allegedly changed its number plate. Police also recovered another motorcycle with the same number plate from the same location.

DSP Kaushal Kumar Budhathoki of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, informed that further investigation is underway regarding both arrested individuals.
