Election Commission Publishes Final Closed List of Proportional Representation Candidates for Upcoming By-Election

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has published the final closed list of candidates for the proportional representation system for the House of Representatives by-election scheduled for February 21.

The Commission published the final closed list of candidates on Tuesday. Commission Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai stated that the final closed list of 3,135 candidates across 57 election symbols from 63 political parties has been published.

The published closed list includes 1,732 women and 1,363 men. The Commission had previously removed the names of 76 individuals from the closed list.
