Interim PM Karki Demands Zero Casualties in Upcoming Federal Elections

Kathmandu. Interim Government Prime Minister Sushila Karki stated that not a single person should be injured in the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21. Addressing the graduation ceremony for Police Inspectors at the National Police Training Academy in Maharajgunj, Prime Minister Karki said, 'Not a single drop of blood should be shed in the upcoming elections.'

On Monday, 92 police inspectors from the 183rd batch of the Nepal Police graduated after completing an 18-month training program. Among those graduating are 9 women and 83 men.

Addressing the inspectors who are about to enter the field, Prime Minister Karki said, 'It is your responsibility not to repeat past mistakes and to professionalize the police force in the future.'

Mentioning that maximum courtesy and humanity must be exercised while enforcing the law, Karki stated, 'Your impartiality is the protective shield of democracy.'
