Four Killed in Separate Road Accidents Across Nepal

Four people have died in separate road accidents in various parts of the country. These individuals lost their lives in distinct accidents that occurred in Kathmandu, Kapilvastu, Gorkha, and Jhapa.

In Kathmandu, a pedestrian woman, estimated to be around 50 years old and yet to be identified, died after being hit by a pickup truck (Ba.Pra.03-026 Ch 1706) near Balkumari Bridge on Saturday night. She succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at KMC Hospital in Sinamangal. Police have taken the pickup driver into custody.

Similarly, in Krishnanagar Municipality-8, Devangariya, Kapilvastu, 22-year-old driver Birendra Harijan died when his motorcycle (Lu.19 Pa 5822) went out of control and crashed. Another person injured in the accident is currently receiving treatment at Shivraj Hospital. Meanwhile, in Gorkha's Arughat Rural Municipality-3, Ghumaine, 30-year-old Man Bahadur Gurung from Dharke Rural Municipality died when his motorcycle (Ga.18 Pa 3544) met with an accident.

In Jhapa's Birtamod Municipality-7, Khopwari, 35-year-old Subash Maden died after his scooter (Pra.1-01-013 Pa 9199) overturned after losing control. He was traveling from Pyakurel Chowk towards Buttawari when the accident occurred. He succumbed to his serious injuries during treatment at B&C Hospital in Birtamod, according to the police. Police have initiated further investigation into all the accidents.
