Hunger Striker Ajay Sodari Hospitalized After Deteriorating Health During Protest in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. GEN-Z activist Ajay Sodari, who has been on a fast-unto-death protest for the past nine days at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu with six demands, has been admitted to Bir Hospital today after his health condition became critical.

His condition became precarious after the government showed no concern and neglected the protest for nine continuous days. Sujan Poudel, coordinator of GEN-Z United, commented on this as the 'government's cruel and insensitive behavior,' stating that the government has been indifferent towards the demands and issues of the youth and GEN-Z movement.

Dr. Jagat Bik reported that Sodari had to be hospitalized as his condition at Bir Hospital was becoming extremely serious. Sodari had been staging a fast-unto-death protest at Maitighar Mandala with six specific demands.

Activist Sodari's Six Demands:

1. Immediate cancellation of all election activities and formation of an all-party government to provide a sustainable solution to the country.

2. Immediate release of all detainees arrested during the GEN-Z movement and stringent action against the culprits.

3. Ensuring impartial investigation and ruthless action against all individuals accused of corruption.

4. Implementation of a directly executive Prime Ministerial system.

5. Restructuring of the state through constitutional amendment or rewriting.

6. Ensuring voting rights for Nepali citizens residing abroad.
