Gutthi Sansthan Dismisses Chinese Lama Bhupatibajra Lama from Boudhanath Area Post

Kathmandu. The Gutthi Sansthan has dismissed Chinese Lama Rinpoche Bhupatibajra Lama, who was working in the Boudha and Melamchi Gyang Gutthis located in the Boudhanath area.

Although the allegations of taking bribes were not confirmed in the media, the organization's executive committee decided on Magh 9 to remove him from the post, stating that keeping a controversial individual in office was against the dignity of the institution.

The Sansthan stated that this decision was made unanimously by the 9-member executive committee under the leadership of the Sansthan's Chairman Ramesh Kumar Pokhrel on Magh 9. It was reported that the formal letter regarding the dismissal will reach Lama within the next two days.

The Sansthan concluded that such a controversial individual could not be kept in the post, citing evidence found that the Chinese Lama possessed identification cards for both Nepal and Hong Kong.

The scholarly committee announced that it has initiated the process of finding a suitable replacement for the daily worship and rituals at Boudha. It will be ensured that such activities under the Gutthi's supervision face no obstruction.

The Sansthan has committed to maintaining transparency and strict monitoring in the management of religious properties.
