Nepal Women's Cricket Team Knocked Out of ICC T20 World Cup Global Qualifier After Scotland Defeat

Kathmandu. Nepal has been eliminated from the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier. Nepal was knocked out of the competition after suffering a 72-run defeat against Scotland in their final group stage match on Monday.

Chasing a target of 141 runs set by Scotland at the TU Cricket Ground, Nepal was all out for just 68 runs in 13.5 overs.

Bindu Rawal and Roma Thapa scored 14 runs each for Nepal. Rubina Chhetri added 10 runs, while no other batter reached double digits.

Earlier, having lost the toss and choosing to bat first, Scotland scored 140 runs for the loss of all wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Priyanaz Chatterjee contributed the highest score of 45 runs for Scotland. Elsa Lister scored 22 runs, and Sarah Bryce added 18 runs.

In bowling, Manisha Upadhyay delivered an excellent performance for Nepal, taking four wickets, conceding 17 runs in four overs. Meanwhile, Rubina Chhetri took three wickets, while Riya Sharma, Sita Rana Magar, and Kavita Joshi took one wicket each. With the defeat in today's match, Nepal has been eliminated from the group stage of the World Cup.

Nepal was eliminated after losing three out of four matches in the group stage of the tournament.
