Congress Candidate Jagat Timilsina Wins National Assembly Election in Gandaki Province

Pokhara. Congress candidate Jagat Timilsina has won the election held in Gandaki under the National Assembly elections from the 'Other' cluster. He secured a vote weight of 5,033 votes.

Out of 228 voters in Gandaki, 223 votes were cast. Among those who did not participate in the voting are two lawmakers from the RPP and three local representatives from the ruling alliance.

By calculation, the ruling alliance candidate should have received 5,105 vote weights, but Timilsina received 72 less vote weights. However, the Office of the Chief Returning Officer has not yet announced the results.

Here, the Communist Party of Nepal nominated Kapil Lama and Rastriya Janamorcha nominated Shankar Baral as candidates. All three local level voters who did not participate in the voting belong to the ruling alliance.
