Voter Turnout Reaches 221 in Gandaki Province National Assembly By-election

Pokhara. A total of 221 voters have cast their ballots so far in the National Assembly member election in Gandaki Province. Voting is currently underway for the by-election to fill two vacant seats scheduled to become empty after Falgun 20.

There are 228 eligible voters in Gandaki. The Provincial Election Office stated that 165 voters from local levels and 56 from the provincial assembly have cast their votes so far.

Gandaki Province has 59 voters from the provincial assembly and 169 from local levels. The office further informed that 3 provincial assembly members and 4 chiefs/deputy chiefs from municipalities/rural municipalities are yet to cast their votes.

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has announced it will not participate in the voting. The RPP has two members in the provincial assembly.
