Kaski Candidates Range from 26 to 70 Years Old for Upcoming House of Representatives Election

Kaski. Candidates aged between 26 and 70 years are competing in the upcoming House of Representatives member election scheduled for Falgun 21.

According to the statistics from the Election Officer's office, among those who registered their candidacies, the youngest candidate is 26-year-old Nirdoshbikram Paudel from Kaski Constituency No. 2, while the oldest is 70-year-old Gopal Giri from Kaski Constituency No. 3.

In Kaski Constituency No. 1, among a total of 17 candidates, the individuals competing range in age from the youngest at 38 to the oldest at 67 years old. This constituency has eleven candidates under the age of 50. In Constituency No. 2, out of 17 total candidates, those competing are in the age bracket of 26 to 65 years. This constituency has twelve candidates under the age of 50.

Similarly, in Constituency No. 3, among a total of 15 candidates, individuals aged between 36 and 70 years are in the competition. Only six candidates in this constituency are below 50 years old. The competition between candidates spanning from young adults up to 70 years old is being viewed with significant importance.

A total of 49 candidates registered their candidacies across the three constituencies, with eighteen political parties and six independent candidates in the electoral race.

Out of the total 49 candidates, only five are women; all others are male. Most candidates in Kaski this time are new faces. The Election Officer's office stated that there are a total of 308,572 registered voters in Kaski for the upcoming election.

The Election Office also mentioned that compared to the 291,568 voters in the 2079 election, 17,004 new voters have been added this time.
