Acting Election Chief Expects Final Results for National Assembly Election by 5 PM

Kathmandu. Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari stated that the cumulative results for the National Assembly member election will be announced by 5 PM this evening.

Voting is underway across all seven provinces since 9 AM on Sunday for the 18 vacant National Assembly member seats. Among these, one seat in Koshi Province has already been filled unopposed.

"Voting for the National Assembly member election is until 3 PM, and the results will be out within the next two hours, by 5 PM," said Acting Chief Election Commissioner Bhandari. According to him, voting is proceeding peacefully in all provinces.

Voting for the National Assembly election, where Provincial Assembly members and the chiefs/deputy chiefs of local levels are the voters, is taking place at the Koshi Province Election Office premises in Biratnagar for Koshi, the Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Mithila Culture Center in Janakpur for Madhesh, and Bhutandevi Secondary School in Hetauda for Bagmati.

Similarly, voting is taking place at the Provincial Election Office in Pokhara for Gandaki, the Employee Milan Kendra in Dang for Lumbini, the Provincial Election Office premises in Birendranagar, Surkhet for Karnali, and the Provincial Election Office in Dhangadhi for Sudurpashchim.
