Massive Fire Destroys Soap Factory Warehouse in Hetauda Industrial Area

Hetauda. A massive fire broke out last night in the warehouse of the Mahashakti Soap Industry operating within the Hetauda Industrial Area. The fire suddenly erupted due to an electrical short circuit in the warehouse where finished soaps and raw materials were stored within the factory premises. All finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials inside the warehouse were completely destroyed by the blaze.

According to Prakash Budhathoki, the industry manager, none of the goods in the warehouse could be saved as the fire started in the middle of the night. Although a detailed assessment of the damage is currently underway, the preliminary estimate suggests that property worth approximately 10 to 12 crore rupees was reduced to ashes. Manager Budhathoki stated that despite immediate efforts to control the fire after it started at night, significant damage occurred.

Upon receiving news of the fire, two fire trucks from Hetauda Metropolitan City, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and local residents rushed to the scene. Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati, spokesperson for the District Police Office Makwanpur, informed that the fire was brought completely under control only a short while ago after the strenuous efforts of security personnel and locals. The police have launched further investigation into the incident.
