Baburam Bhattarai Withdraws Candidacy for House of Representatives Election

Kathmandu. Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, patron of the Progressive Democratic Party, who was a candidate for the House of Representatives in the upcoming elections, has withdrawn his candidacy. Dr. Bhattarai had registered his candidacy from Gorkha-2 for the election scheduled for Falgun 21.

Earlier, Bhattarai, who had announced he would not contest the election, was made a candidate by the party at the last moment. However, Bhattarai reconsidered his decision after candidates from other parties in that constituency requested him to withdraw his candidacy.
