Narayani river flood risk terrorises normal life
Nawalparasi - Incessant monsoon rains for the past few days have caused the Narayani River in Nawalparasi to crest, increasing the risk of flooding in the nearby settlements including those adjoining the Gandak Area.
The locals have demanded the district administration to remain in high alert in this situation and take all elaborate measures to minimise the risk of disaster.
The continuous monsoon rains have heightened the possibility of flooding mainly in Susta and Pratappur Rural Municipalities.
The District Administration Office, Nawalparasi in these hours have urged one and all to remain alert to possibility of any sort of disaster
Over a dozen of settlements in Narsahi, Kudiya, Khairwanwa and Guthiprasauni, among others are at high risk from flooding.
