NPL: Chitwan Rhinos defeats Karnali Yaks by four wickets
Chitwan Rhinos started with an impressive win in the second edition of the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League underway in Kathmandu. Chitwan beat Karnali Yaks by four wickets. Chasing a target of 167 runs posted by Karnali, Chitwan achieved the target in 19.1 overs at the loss of six wickets. Chitwan made 171 runs. For Chitwan, Ravi Bopara hit highest 52 runs off 35 balls with three sixes and three fours.
Similarly, Dipak Bohara made 42 runs and Saif Zaib contributed 38 runs. Captain Kushal Malla made 20 runs.
For Karnali, Captain Sompal Kami claimed two wickets. Similarly, Unish Singh, Mark Watt and Yubaraj Khatri took one wicket each.
Invited into bat first after losing the toss, Karnali made 166 runs in allotted 20 overs at the loss of three wickets. For Karnali, Priyank Panchal scored highest 90 runs off 48 balls with six sixes and seven boundaries. Likewise, Pawan Sarraf hit 27 runs and Max O’Dowd contributed 20 runs. Mark Wood made 17 runs.
Chitwan's Saif Zaib, Bopara and Sohail Tanvir took one wicket each.
