Chinese Automobile Company Aucar Enters Nepal, EV Go Nepal Becomes Official Distributor
The renowned Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer, Aucar, has officially entered the Nepali market. This move follows Aucar's recent appointment of EV Go Nepal Pvt. Ltd. as its official distributor, bringing the brand to Nepal for the first time. Aucar, a top-tier commercial vehicle brand, is set to introduce its electric microbuses and vans to Nepal.
Focus on Electric Vehicles and Exclusive Agreement
Aucar EV (China) Ltd., which has been manufacturing commercial vehicles for nearly two decades in China, has recently prioritized the production of electric vehicles (EVs). An exclusive agreement has been signed between Aucar EV China and EV Go Nepal Pvt. Ltd. for the Nepali market. The company produces a full lineup of commercial vehicles, ranging from 11-seater electric vans to large electric buses and electric pickup trucks. Aucar's electric commercial vehicles are already being sold in over 70 countries and will now be available in Nepal through EV Go.
Initial Vehicle Offerings and Future Plans
Managing Director of EV Go Nepal Pvt. Ltd., Anukumar Baral, shared that initially, Aucar's 11, 14, and 16-seater electric vans and microbuses will be introduced in Nepal. Once these are established, the company has plans to bring in larger Aucar electric buses with 19, 25, and 26-plus seating capacities. Furthermore, the company has stated it will import cargo EV vans, electric pickups, and medium-duty electric trucks based on market demand and requirements.
Company Infrastructure and Specialization
Aucar's electric vehicle production plant is located in China's Fujian Province, while its headquarters are in Shandong Province. The company also has its own dedicated Research and Development (R&D) center for vehicle-related innovation. A key specialty of the Aucar brand is its expertise in both vehicle manufacturing and the production of spare parts. Compared to other Chinese electric commercial vehicle producers, Aucar has been manufacturing and providing spare parts at a more competitive cost.
After-Sales Service and Network Expansion
The official distributor, EV Go Nepal Pvt. Ltd., has already begun constructing service centers alongside the import of electric microbuses and vans. Starting with a service center in Kathmandu, the company has announced plans to expand its service network to other major cities across the country once the sales of Aucar microbuses commence.
