Citizens Investment Trust Earns NPR 1.25 Billion Profit, Invests NPR 31 Billion in Share Market

Strong Financial Performance in FY 2081/82

The Citizens Investment Trust (CIT) has reported a profit of NPR 1.25 billion in the past fiscal year, according to its unaudited financial statements. This marks an increase from the previous fiscal year, where the profit stood at NPR 1.10 billion.

Revenue Sources and Expenses

The fund generated NPR 1.90 billion in income, including interest, service fees, commissions, and miscellaneous earnings. After deducting management expenses and provisions worth NPR 42.42 million, along with tax adjustments, the net profit remained at NPR 1.25 billion.

Capital and Investment Growth

Currently, the fund’s capital stands at NPR 6.48 billion. Under its various schemes, CIT has collected NPR 2.91 trillion, which is NPR 42 billion more than the previous year. So far, the fund has invested NPR 2.89 billion, with NPR 31.82 billion allocated to the share market.

Earnings and Net Worth per Share

Based on its profits, the fund’s earnings per share (EPS) is NPR 19.34, while the net worth per share is NPR 164.23. This reflects a strong financial position and growing investor confidence in the fund.
