Nepse Index Shows Slight Improvement, Turnover Reaches NPR 7.63 Billion

The stock market witnessed a modest recovery on Wednesday, with the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index gaining 2.35 points to close at 2,836.35. However, despite the marginal rise, trading activity remained sluggish, with a total turnover of Rs 7.63 billion.

Mixed Market Performance

  • Gainers vs. Losers: Out of the actively traded companies, 112 saw their share prices increase, while 138 declined.

  • Top Gainers: Win Nepal Laghubitta, Mahuli Laghubitta, and Trade Tower Company led the market, with their share prices surging by 10% (circuit limit). Trade Tower, which had declined in the previous two sessions, rebounded sharply.

  • Top Loser: Thirstar Hydropower dropped by 3.78%, emerging as the day’s biggest loser.

Highest Trading Volume

In terms of transaction value, Ngadi Group Power (Rs 29.45 crore) and Himalayan Reinsurance (Rs 28.02 crore) dominated the market.

Sector-Wise Movement

Only five sector indices advanced, while eight declined, reflecting cautious investor sentiment.
