Police Arrest 11 Individuals with Narcotics Across Multiple Locations

Police have arrested eleven individuals in drug-related operations across multiple districts including Kathmandu, Rupandehi, Bara and Sunsari. In Kathmandu's Kalanki area, officers apprehended three suspects with 1.91 grams of a heroin-like substance, 138.86 grams of cannabis-like powder, a digital scale and 21,000 rupees cash. The arrested include Shiv Nepali (36) from Dhading, Milan Shrestha (30) from Ramechhap and Suraj Shrestha (26) from Jhapa.

Separately in Rupandehi's Debdah Municipality, police detained three people including two locals and an Indian national with 740 milligrams of a brown sugar-like substance. Bara police arrested an Indian man carrying 10,380 Tramadol tablets on a motorcycle. Sunsari district saw multiple arrests including a couple caught with 2,100 Tramadol and 540 Spasmo tablets in Barahakshetra, and two individuals in Inaruwa with smaller quantities of brown sugar-like substances.

Authorities confirm all cases remain under active investigation as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking nationwide. The arrests demonstrate coordinated police action across different regions targeting both local and cross-border narcotics operations. Those apprehended range in age from 24 to 50 years old, with some suspects coming from neighboring Indian states. Police emphasize these operations will continue as they work to disrupt drug supply chains in Nepal.
