Bhojpur gets status of 'literate' district

 

 

Bhojpur – a hilly district in Province 1 of the eastern Nepal, has been declared a fully 'literate district'. According to the statistics of District Education Office, Bhojpur, 96.43 per cent population between 15 to 60 years of age in the district are now able to read and write.

Province 1 Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai announced the district 'literate' amidst a programme here on Sunday. On the occasion, he pledged to develop the province into a model one, adding that transportation, health and education were his first priorities. ---
