Blaze at scrap factory in Chandragiri controlled after overnight effort

Kathmandu, March 7 — The fire that broke out at the RMB Plastic Packaging House (scrap factory) in Bosigaun, Chandragiri Municipality-10, Kathmandu, has been brought under control.
The factory is jointly operated by Pushpa Shrestha and Ramesh Podar.
A team of 32 personnel from the Balaju Police Circle and Thankot Police Circle have been deployed to control the blaze.
The fire is now under control, according to a statement from Kathmandu District Police Office spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police Apil Raj Bohara.
To extinguish the fire, Armed Police Force (APF) personnel and local authorities have also been involved.
The scrap factory has been destroyed by the fire, and the details of the damage are still awaited.
A total of seven fire engines and 15 water tankers were used to combat the blaze.
Fire engines from Chandragiri Municipality, Bishal Bazaar Barun Yantra, Balaju Barun Yantra, Lalitpur Metropolitan City's fire engine, Bhaktapur Municipality's fire engine, Boudha Ramhiti's fire engine, and Budhanilkantha Municipality's fire engine were also deployed to control the fire.
