Maoist shifts from right-wing to left-wing ideology: Prachanda

Biratnagar, February 26 — Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', the chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center), stated that his party has shifted from the 'right' to the 'left', moving beyond the confusion and stagnation that had emerged recently.
Addressing the first meeting and training session of the ANNFSU (R) in Koshi Province, Prachanda explained that the recent central committee meeting had decided to shift the party's stance from the right to the left.
He also mentioned that, as per the party's decision, the Maoist movement has begun an awakening campaign in the Terai-Madhes region.
Prachanda further elaborated that the campaign involves exploring opportunities for economic prosperity, engaging in discussions with civil society and intellectuals, speaking with the families of martyrs and the missing, and gathering information about various problems by staying in people's homes.
He emphasized that the campaign is proving to be very effective.
He also highlighted the efforts made by the Maoist party to address the issues of discrimination perpetuated by the feudal state, stating that these issues were raised through the people's war and are now enshrined in the constitution, though implementation remains problematic.
To address this, a campaign focused on the postal highway has been launched.
Chairman Prachanda mentioned that an upcoming campaign centered on the Mid-Hill Highway will be launched in the coming month of Baishakh (April), with the intention of concluding the movement in the highest regions of the country.
He emphasized that this campaign, both in its form and message, would be unique and would play a key role in establishing true national unity.
