Two killed in Dhading tractor accident

Dhadhing, February 26 — Two youths lost their lives in an accident last night at the Guptheswar Temple in Galchhi Rural Municipality-3 when the tractor carrying water to the temple overturned.

Two others have been injured.

According to the District Police Office, the victims were 18-year-old Prashant Chepang and 20-year-old Jayaram Chepang, both from Gajuri Rural Municipality-6.

The injured, 19-year-old Shirish Chepang and 17-year-old Suresh Chepang, have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment.

The accident occurred while the tractor, with registration number Bagmati Province 01-004 Ka 3352, was transporting water from Adamghat to the Guptheswar Temple.

Four people, including the deceased, were riding the tanker.

The tractor driver, 23-year-old Dinesh Chepang from Gajuri Rural Municipality-6, has been taken into police custody.
