PM Oli receives invitation for 'Rara-Karnali Tourism Year' celebrations

 

 

Kathmandu – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been invited to the 'Karnali-Rara Tourism Year-2075 BS'. 
Karnali Province Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi Thursday called on the Prime Minister at latter's official residence, Baluwatar to formally invite him for the inauguration of event. 


CM Shahi was accompanied by province Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Naresh Bhandari. 
Receiving the invitation, PM Oli pledged to be there in Karnali to inaugurate the event on coming April 14 (Baisakh 1, the Nepali New Year), according to the CM's press advisor Dhruba Budathoki. 


During his Karnali trip, the PM will address in the name of nation from Rara, visit other touristic destinations in the province including the Shey-Phoksundo Lake, Chhayanath, and Hilsa and Patal Falls. He will chair a meeting of the Karnali Academy Health Sciences. 


Likewise, former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) chair Pushpa Kamal Daha has also got the invitation for the same event. CM Shahi reached the Dahal's private residence at Khumulatar this morning with the invitation letter. 


The objective of the event going to be organised from the (province) government level is to explore possible tourist destinations in the province, promote internal tourism and attract investment. The province that comprises 10 districts in the mid-western Nepal including Humla, Jumla, Mugu and Surkhet is considered rich in natural resources. Rara, the country's biggest and deepest fresh water lake is situated in the province (Mugu district). ---
