Madhav Nepal predicts intense disputes in Parliament

Kathmandu, February 19 — The chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has stated that there will be significant disputes between the ruling and opposition parties in the current sessions of Parliament.

In a political report passed during the party's standing committee meeting on February 18, Nepal highlighted that his party had filed a 'historic' rejection notice against all six ordinances presented by the government.

This marks a first in the parliamentary history of the party.

The political report, which was also approved in the Politburo meeting, is set to be presented at the second meeting of the party's central committee, scheduled for February 20 and 21.

In the report, under the section "Current Political Situation," Nepal expressed concerns about the growing conflicts between the ruling and opposition parties in Parliament.

He also mentioned that the government is attempting to orchestrate a conspiracy to get the ordinances approved, despite opposition.

Regarding his party's activities, Nepal observed that many political parties, including the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), and CPN (Maoist Center), are focused on strengthening their respective organizations.

He acknowledged that the activities of his own party are progressing gradually.

Furthermore, Nepal criticized the country's economic and social status, noting a lack of significant progress and a decline in the overall situation.

He claimed that the country is gradually deteriorating due to the dominance of brokers, bureaucrats, capitalists, and middlemen in power.
