In pictures: Princess Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, arrives in Nepal
Kathmandu, February 4 — Princess Sophie, born Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones, the Duchess of Edinburgh and wife of Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, the youngest sibling of King Charles III, has arrived in Nepal.
She landed at Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday morning, where she was welcomed by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and staff from the British Embassy in Nepal.
From the airport, she proceeded to the British Embassy in Lainchaur.
Prince Edward is also expected to arrive in Nepal later today. He will be landing in Kathmandu shortly.
While Prince Edward is arriving from Delhi, Princess Sophie traveled from London, with the couple taking different flights.
The British royal couple will stay in Nepal for six days and are scheduled to return to the UK on February 9.
