CPN (UML) Organizes Interaction Program for MPs

Kathmandu. CPN (UML) is organizing a special interaction program today to make the role of its MPs in the Federal Parliament more effective and responsible.

The program, organized by the party's parliamentary department, will start at 11 am at the central office in Chyasal, where party chairman KP Sharma Oli will provide training on the role and responsibilities that UML MPs should fulfill in the parliament.

According to party secretary and parliamentary department chief Padma Aryal, former secretary of the Parliament Secretariat, Harkaraj Rai, will provide information about the work, duties, rights of the Parliament Secretariat, and the jurisdiction of parliamentary committees and the issues to be raised.

Similarly, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel will provide training on the party's policies and the duties of the MPs. Aryal informed that MPs should play a role in the parliament in accordance with the party's policies and General Secretary Pokharel will clarify how to coordinate and consult with the party's departments on related issues.

According to the party's publicity and publication department chief Niraj Acharya, MPs from both houses as well as all department chiefs and former members of the party have been invited to the program. On the occasion of the program, a 'roster' of subject matter experts recommended by the concerned departments will be prepared, which will provide expert consultation to the MPs when needed on parliamentary subject matter.
