NEPSE index up by 66 points this week
Kathmandu, January 24 — This week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by 66 points. The index, which had reached 2,588 points last Thursday, rose to 2,654 points by yesterday, Thursday.
Out of the five trading days this week, the market only dropped on one day.
Yesterday, Thursday, the NEPSE index dropped by 11 points.
On Wednesday, the market increased by 52 points, followed by increases of 5 points on Tuesday, 6 points on Monday, and 12 points on Sunday.
This week, alongside the rise in the NEPSE index, there has also been a notable increase in trading volume.
Last Thursday, the trading volume was NPR 5.88 billion. On Sunday, the trading volume was NPR 6.12 billion, on Monday it was NPR 6.49 billion, and on Tuesday, it was NPR 6.13 billion.
On Wednesday, the highest trading volume of the week occurred, with NPR 8.79 billion in share transactions, and yesterday, Thursday, the trading volume was NPR 7.73 billion.
