Photo Feature: Bhaktapur Festival commences

Bhaktapur, December 13 — The five-day Bhaktapur Festival, organized by the Bhaktapur Municipality, began on Friday.

The festival aims to attract both domestic and international tourists and promote the city's art, culture, heritage, and traditional products.

Mayor Sunil Prajapati expressed confidence that the festival will help develop the ancient city of Bhaktapur as a tourist destination.

The festival will feature dance performances, handicrafts, food items, flute playing competitions, bhajans, traditional and modern cultural dances, and exhibitions of paubha (paintings), photographs, paintings, and clay art.

Additionally, traditional attire, musical instruments, the Living Goddess (Kumari), clay art exhibitions, Buddhist publications, agricultural products, and a food festival will also be part of the event.
