Durga Prasain re-arrested after posting bail

Kathmandu, December 12 — Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasain has been re-arrested by the police.

After posting bail in a case under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2006, he was arrested immediately upon his release from the court premises. 

SP Hobindra Bogati of the Central Investigation Bureau informed Ratopati that Prasain was re-arrested due to an ongoing investigation into criminal offenses.

In a case involving the creation of fake documents against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Judge Bishnu Prasad Awasthi of the Kathmandu District Court had ordered his release on a bail of 40,000 rupees.

After posting bail, Prasai was again arrested.
