In pictures: Expansion of footpaths progressing rapidly in Durbar Marg

Kathmandu, December 1 — The expansion of footpaths in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is progressing rapidly, especially in the Durbar Marg area.

As part of the footpath expansion, KMC is currently focusing on improving drainage systems, undergrounding electrical wires, and preserving trees and plants.

In one of Nepal's main commercial hubs, Durbar Marg, narrow footpaths have caused difficulties for pedestrians. With the expansion, the KMC believes it will make walking more convenient for the public.
